BeatMask
Tap along to the bit! Or is it beat?
In this retro-techno rhythm game, you play as your computer, parsing bits as they come in to form a song! But make sure you apply the right bitmask, because otherwise you might corrupt your song!
Use F, G, H, and J to input 0s and R, T, Y, and U to input 1s as you mask these bits, making sure to apply the right boolean operation to get maximum points! Don't worry though, even if you don't remember your discrete math, you'll still be fine!
With a total of two (2) whole songs (Wow!), you can jam out to tuff beats (bits?) to your heart's content! The game features a custom beatmap for an original song featuring Kasane Teto! And yes, obviously it can play Bad Apple too (beatmap coming soon!).
In the future, we hope to add mobile support for this rhythm game, utilizing flicks to control output instead of keyboard keys. Perhaps in a future update, along with some more songs!
This game (programming, art, sound) was made by one individual over the course of 48 hours as a part of the Global Game Jam 2026, Purdue University Chapter.

Controls:
Use F, G, H, and J to input a 0, and R, T, Y, and U to input a 1.
In regular mode, you need to apply the logic operator to the incoming notes before choosing a direction. So if the operator is OR, and you see a 1 and a 0, you better press 0. You can choose which operations to enable before starting a song. If you enable easy baby mode, then you just have to input the right bit for whatever note is coming at you (if you see a 1, click 1).
This game should also work on mobile devices by flicking at the hitzone. Flick up for 0 and flick down for 1.

Currently, we have a beatmap for Relapse, with a "simple" one on the lower difficulties and a more polished one on Peak difficulty. A beatmap for Bad Apple is in production however!
